Project:  Create a “community” of artisans, consumers & wholesale buyers focused on shopping local, small & sustainable.

Action Items:

  • Launched a curated, indoor market showcasing artisans & makers in 180 days.
  • Launched a branded website, social media properties and email in 1st 30 days.
  • Developed a B2B eCRM program signed up 100+ artisan-vendors within 90 days, and 500+ artisans over 7 markets and 24 months.
  • Implemented digital media campaigns to attract over 1,000 consumer attendees (i.e. ticketbuyers) & wholesale buyers for 1st market, and between 1,000 and 2,000 attendees per market for 1st 7 markets (Jul ’18 through Mar ’20).
  • Built a sizable audience on Facebook, Instagram & Email for Chicago Artisan Market.

 

Oak Brook Artisan Market

Action Items:
 
  • Successfully launched the Oak Brook Artisan Market (OBAM) – a sister, 2-day outdoor market at Oakbrook Center, the US’s 3rd most productive shopping center.
  • Launched a set of custom branded companion digital media properties for OBAM.
  • Built a sizable Facebook, Instagram and Email audience for OBAM.

StyleChicago.com

Project:  Create a digital media property that will invite professional women to engage with local retailers, service providers and cultural attractions. 

Action Items:

  • Launched flagship website, StyleChicago.com in December 2004.
  • Used digital media to expand locally targeted audience (Chicago DMA) for professional women from -0- to 10 million page views annually by December 2007.
  • Worked to successfully promote over 1,000 small-business clients via direct-response advertising & promotions campaigns.
  • Launched a signature events division which sold out over 75 events ranging in size from 300 to 1,000 attendees – all marketed digitally with tickets sold in advance online..
  • Developed successful sponsorship vehicles for top national companies and brands including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, iHeartMedia, Clif Bar, Heineken USA, Miller Coors, LIFEWTR, PERONI, , Smartwater, Stella Artois, Clif Bar, Cadillac and more

FashionChicago

Project:  Create a hybrid digital marketing, shopping event series and Spring/Fall fashion shows to support and showcase Chicago-based fashion designers.

Action Items:

  • Launched our first FashionChicago shopping event in Spring 2010.
  • Created a FashionChicago.com website with profiles of participating designers
  • Partnered with the Chicagoland Entreprenurial Center, the City of Chicago and the Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events (DCASE) to promote a Friday night fashion show and Sat-Sun shopping event in Millennium Park.
  • StyleChicago.com’s The Art of Fashion (Runway Show) sold out a 1,000-person ticketed runway show at Chase Promenade North every October from Fall 2010 through Fall 2015.
  • Our 2-day FashionChicago shopping event in Millennium Park attracted 10,000-15,000 shoppers over Sat-Sun weekends in October and early May from 2010-2015.
